Spring is in full swing, and that means we have been working like crazy to make sure the camper is ready for our big summer trip. We do a major spring cleaning every year, and this year is no exception. We’ve got a post coming up later this week detailing our spring cleaning process, but I thought I’d give you a little sneak peek today. 😉
This summer, we are headed to the Pacific Northwest again, and then on to Canada. We expect some rain along the way, so we are giving the canvas some extra attention. We detailed just how we clean our canvas in a post we wrote several years ago, which you can find here. I only use 303 High Tech Fabric Guard to waterproof the canvas, and we recorded a short little video to show you why. When we started spring cleaning the camper this year, the water just beaded off the canvas. We were spraying the hose directly at the canvas, and it was impervious to water–and this was after a full year of use with no spot touch-ups.
I love that High Tech Fabric Guard! 🙂 To kick off our week of spring cleaning posts, the folks at 303 Products were kind enough to allow us to give away those same products we use to one lucky reader. We are doing a giveaway on Instagram this week, so head on over to get all the details and enter.

Larrisa,
One question on the Hi Tech fabric guard, the picture you show of the bottle on your site is not the same as the hi tech bottles I find online. Your picture matches the aerospace bottles that I found, am I missing something? I don’t want to order the hi tech fabric guard unless I have the right stuff. I also took my canvas off the camper to replace the roof with a new one and then cleaned the canvas thoroughly with woolite prior to reinstalling it but it still has little black specks in the canvas. I know it’s clean but are these mildew stains? Can they be removed?

303 Products changes the labels on their bottles periodically. If it says High Tech Fabric Guard, you should be good to go. 😉
It is hard to say if the black specks are mildew or grease stains. Have you tried a mildew remover or a bleach and water mixture on them yet?
